Calling All Wizarding Fans!

Enjoy a weekend of wizarding fun and art projects inspired by everyone’s favorite boy wizard!

We’re throwing a wizarding party throughout Halloween weekend!  All ages are welcome, participants under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

How does it work? Sign up here! Nine and 3/4 ($9.75) reserves a table for up to 4 people. Each decorated table gets its own self-guided trivia & Sorting Hat activities, a set of photobooth props to keep, and a sheet of Harry Potter-themed Magic Stickers. We’ll have our Harry Potter photobooth up all weekend for you to enjoy. Come in costume if you’d like! If you can’t make it in for the event, you can purchase a Harry Pottery To Go Kit to paint at home!

What day/time is it? Pick whatever time/day works for your family and friends. We have timeslots throughout October 30-November 1. Reservations are required and limited due to capacity constraints.

What can I make? You get to pick and purchase whatever you want to make: use any of our numerous samples as inspiration or concoct your own masterpiece. We’re here to help you along the way. You can even order pre-fired pottery with your favorite house crests or the Hogwarts crest already printed on your piece that you can paint when you come in! You can order those pieces online here through Thursday, Oct 29.

You can even paint a Christmas Tree to match your house colors!

How are you working to keep the studio as safe as possible? We have socially-distanced tables that are disinfected between parties, along with all tools and paint bottles. We have plexiglass shielding in our front room to further separate customers, and are making use of all three of our studio rooms in order to give everyone ample space. Facemasks are required of both staff and guests, and guests are asked to wash their hands at any of our many sinks throughout the studio upon arrival.

Harry Pottery To Go Kits are available for purchase if you can’t make it to the event!

Can I purchase a Harry Pottery To-Go Kit? Totally! We have Harry Pottery To-Go Kits available to order here

*All ages welcome at this self-guided, weekend-long event.  However this is not a drop-off event; ages 16 and under must be accompanied by adult. Facemasks are required to be worn for the duration of your visit.

Crystal Glazes? Yes, Please!

So we just discovered a new type of glaze (paint) for your pottery and we are in love with it! They’re called Crystal Glazes, and we think you’re gonna be just as crazy about them as we are. They paint onto your bare pottery just like regular paints. But then in the kiln, the little crystals in the paint POP into bright and fun bursts of color!

A few of the new crystal glazes at Arts & Glass showing bursts of colors.

We’ve tested out a few colors so far, and will be piloting these exciting new glazes at our Crystal Glaze Gnome workshop on Thursday, October 22. You can sign up for the event here. We’ll then be making the glazes available to walk-in’s after that based on availability. Once a glaze sells out, it might gone for good, so stop in to use them while they’re in stock!

Before our gnome was fired (baked) in our kiln (oven) and after firing!

You may be wondering if you can use them for dinnerware (plates, bowls, mugs). They are all non-toxic and food-safe, but due to some of the surface characteristics, if food does get into tiny crevices it can be difficult to clean. Therefor they are not recommended for surfaces that will touch food, but best used for home decor pieces. Vases and planters are a-ok though!
